Secure Passwords

Creating strong passwords is easier than you think.
Here's how to create an unlimited number of strong and simple-to-remember passwords.

Typically, when users are forced into complexity, they use the same types of characters in the same places. For example, when people are required to create an 8-character password with complexity, most will choose a root word in their country's language, with an uppercase first letter (usually a consonant), followed by a lowercase vowel. If they use a number, it will usually be a "1" or a "2" and placed at the end. If they use a symbol, it will usually be one of a handful of characters placed somewhere in the middle, often replacing a letter with a similar shape: an @ or a zero to replace an "o," an exclamation mark for an "i," and so on. 1. Well, in my opinion, there's no need to create a strong password, because if you create an easy one for yourself like Potato123 and you don't tell it to anybody, it would be easier for you to log in into websites or games for example. No one with common sense will think: "Hmm, his password can be...Potato123" because there is a million of possibility's to write the correct password. Sometimes is hard to remember that you putted "0" instead of "o". The thing is, that if you use a capital letter in that password, just 1 capital letter or 1 number, no one would get your password.

  2. Hello! I actually liked the video and I think its full of good information for people whos looking for a strong password, but for my very little experience I think theres no need to have a strong password for things like, in my case, my email. What I mean is that for example if your email password is apple123 I dont think that anyones going to guess it. Any ways, I would absolutely not recomend a password that simple for something like your bank account. If thats the case, something like 1loves@nDwich3s is absolutely necessary.
Also an very easy to remember and good sign is this: - . So for example, with the password I just wrote it would be 1love-s@nDwich3s.
Anyways, like I said before, its perfect for people whos looking for a very strong password, I am going to use this information.

  3. To make a strong password you should never use a word that means something personal, like a pet, a name, where you work.
Another really usual thing people do wrong, is use their year of birth, or their date of birth.
The strongest passwords are usually hard to remember, mostly in websites that give you the option to remain logged-in and you accept. Because the easiest way to get used to a hard password is by entering it every day manually. It's like practicing.
So, when creating an important account, be smart and think of a meaningless combination of characters, simbols, numbers and capitals.

  4. I think that this video about "how to create a strong password'' its very helpful. Never ocurred to me for estample to use a 3 instead of a "e" or a @ instead of a "o" . But the against are that when you cant see what are you tipyng its difficult to know that you are doing for example the @ good.

  5. You can also make a safe password out of numbers only. Most of the people choose their birthdays or the birthday from someone they now. If you want to use an "only numbers password" you can both, select random numbers (obviously it must be something that is not hard enough for you to not remember) or you can put numbers that you might saw somewhere or that mean something to you and only you.
Remember, the larger the password is the harder it is for someone to guess it.

  6. An ideal password wouldnt be the one that is for example your name or your nickname. Your password shall not have a keyboard sequence at the end for example ''123'' or "qwerty". As the video says it would be great if there is an exchange between letters and numbers like 7urk317!m3 which means turkeytime.

  7. I would like to add something. If you want to have a strong password i think, it have to be a long word or a sentence that is easy for you to remained it and you can use signs and some of the letters with capital letters or numbers, like instead of an ¨s¨ you can use a ¨5¨, because they are similar. Or another option it could be write a maths formula.

  8. We think the text is enhacing the video, because it shows more information, and although the text agrees with most of the videos information, it corrects some things.

  9. The video gets supported by the text paragraph that got added below adding additional information to it. This can be seen after watching the video and reading the text that for example there is some information that you might use for your own password about lower and upper case password choices.

  10. We think, that the paragraph under the Video support it, because it explains the same content in other words. But there is a difference. In the Video you have an example and with this example you can understand better the content.

  11. I think that since text and video are opposite, it´s make you don´t know about what to do and so make up your mind thinking what is the best way to protect your password. I think that any way to protect your password is useful, but it's better if you use new ideas for protecting it.
I have one idea to protect your password and I think it would be useful for the person that would use it. my idea is: you think one phrase or sentence you would like to use and then you take every first letter of each word. For example, if your phrase would be "hello how are you" then using this method would be like this: "HHAY". But if you think that is very easy for the hacker to guess you can take all the lasts letters of each word starting from the end of the phrase. Using the previous example would be like this: "UEWO". And if you want you can add numbres to make it more difficult to guess.
I hope this idea helps you to protect your password.

  12. I am in between the two opinions the one frome the video and the one of the text. I agree that people always uses easy passwords with no symbols and not long enough. But at the same time it is true that if they do use them; they are always the same symbols changed with the same letters.
I think that it is a good idea to upload your passwords after some time has spent because if you do this it would we even more difficult to hackers to guess the password.

  14. Hello beautyful people!!! I think that the text under the video does really support the information of the video, because it explains the same think in other words and adds some info, like the features of a bad password. But if you see the complet text, you can easly notice, that it also criticizes the video, saying: Password attackers know this, and their password cracking tools are optimized to guess at passwords using these patterns.
